Astoria Pub Terms & Conditions

Operating Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Friday and Saturday: 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Liquor Service Rules

  • Last call for alcohol service:
    • Weekdays (except Fridays): 12:30 AM
    • Fridays and Saturdays: 1:30 AM
  • No double-shot drinks or large-volume mixed drinks exceeding 2 ounces of alcohol will be served after 11:00 PM.
  • No more than two drinks per person may be served at a time.
  • Alcohol service will cease immediately if there is an incident involving violence or over-intoxication.
  • No alcohol is allowed to be taken off the premises.

Minors and ID Checks

  • Minors are not allowed on the premises at any time.
  • All patrons must present a valid government-issued photo ID upon request.
  • Patrons appearing under 30 years old must be ID’d.

Noise and Entertainment

  • Live music and DJs are allowed but must not exceed local noise ordinance limits.
  • No music after 1:00 AM on weekdays and 2:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Noise complaints should be logged and addressed by the manager on duty.

Health and Safety

  • Staff must follow all BC health and safety regulations.
  • Emergency exits must always be clearly marked and free of obstructions.
  • First aid kits must be stocked and easily accessible.
  • All spills and broken glass must be cleaned immediately.
  • Staff must wash their hands regularly and maintain personal hygiene.

Conflict Resolution

  • If a customer dispute arises, staff should remain calm and professional.
  • Attempt to de-escalate the situation verbally.
  • If the conflict escalates, notify the security guard or manager immediately.
  • Document all incidents involving customer disputes in the incident logbook.

Special Events

  • A special event permit is required for events extending beyond regular operating hours.
  • Special event applications must be submitted at least 14 days in advance.
  • Temporary license extensions for special events must be posted at the entrance during the event.

Additional House Rules

  • Dress Code: No offensive clothing or gang-related attire.
  • Smoking: Smoking and vaping are only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
  • Pets: Only service animals are permitted.
  • Capacity: Maximum capacity is 220 patrons.
  • Outside Food and Drinks: Strictly prohibited.
  • Any patron who becomes disruptive may be asked to leave at the discretion of the manager

Photo and Videography

  • Attendees are permitted to take pictures on Astoria Pub premises free of charge, provided they have the consent of any other patrons appearing in the photos.
  • Astoria Pub staff will not take pictures of patrons unless this has been communicated in advance via usual channels (e.g., email, social media, event notices) and explicit consent from the patrons has been obtained.
  • All pictures must respect the privacy and comfort of other guests and must not disrupt the experience of other attendees.
